Franz Merath

Dr. Franz Merath studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and, after completing his doctorate, started as Head of Group Logistics in a supplier to the automotive industry. Dr. Merath has been working in the chemical industry since 2001 and has been responsible for several different management tasks within Evonik in the area of supply chain management in business and service areas as well as in the Corporate Center. From 2010 to 2018, he was Head of the Logistics Business Line, where he was responsible for Evonik's site logistics. Since 2019, he has been Head of Supply Chain & Business Process Management at Smart Materials, a division of Evonik Industries.
