Pierrick Le Gallo

DuPont Europe
Pierrick Le Gallo is president of DuPont Europe, Middle East and Africa. He joined DuPont in 1984. He held different roles in Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing and Human Resources in several European countries from 1984 through 2002. In 2002, he relocated from Europe to Asia (Shanghai, China) as regional business director for the Packaging & Industrial Polymers business. He returned to Europe (Cologne, Germany) in 2005 to become the regional business director (Refinish division) of the Performance Coatings business. He then became part of the Danisco Integration Team in 2011 and relocated to the United States (Wilmington, Del.) to lead the integration effort of the Genencor organization into DuPont. Later that year, he moved into the Corporate Plans group. In September 2013, he relocated to Istanbul, Turkey, as president of Turkey, Middle East and Africa. He is now based in Paris, France, where he took his current position in January 2016. Mr. Le Gallo graduated from the "Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts & Metiers” in Paris with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Carsten has been developing and implementing digital roadmaps for supply chain and logistics within his operating division, setting-up a real-time track & trace system for bulk shipments in Europe as well as creating a digital mindset within the supply chain community. The most challenging part of the project was driving change management in digital transformation to the working level as well as heterogeneous digital landscape. The main achievements were successful Go-Live of a real-time track & trace system, and clear commitment to the digital roadmap by senior management and supply chain professionals. His next focus will be on vertical and horizontal integration of filling (“smart filling”) and implementing real-time track & trace for maritime shipments.

In parallel he is responsible for improving efficiencies within the existing system and process structure across the supply chain by utilizing Borealis’s employees' knowledge and best practices. Beside looking at streamlining operational tasks to improve service to Customers and to gain efficiencies, Gerrit is now in the process of assessing end-to-end opportunities for a more fundamental change in how Borealis operates the company’s integrated sales and supply chains.
