Globally managing BASF’s crop protection value chains together with his team of 16 managers & operational experts, Robert oversees the SC from raw material supply to delivery and 3rd party customers. His core objectives are those demonstrating how supply chain can drive sales opportunities while avoid losses due to supply challenges and these are the successes Robert and his team are delivering at a daily operational level.
 
Having worked across corporate & business units in supply chain, production and controlling, he implemented a risk management process and tool to structurally identify, classify and mitigate risks and is currently leading further improvements in BASF’s supply chain. Equipped with diverse background at BASF one of his recent projects in 2019 was leading the implementation of Robotics Process Automation. Being a part of BASF’s digital roadmap, this project has improved supply reliability for customers, increased efficiency within operations and raised motivation within the team. Robert has also played a key role in crisis management and reporting at BASF, including during COVID, supply of raw materials to production, supply of finished product and logistics disruptions.
