Vice President Liquid Logistics Stolt-Nielsen

Barry McNally has over 25 years of experience in the logistics industry. He is currently the Vice President of Liquid Logistics at Stolt-Nielsen, the world’s largest operator of chemical tankers, and a global provider of safe storage services for bulk liquids. Stolt is the leading provider of door-to-door transportation services for bulk-liquid chemicals and food-grade products. As VP of Liquid Logistics, Barry is responsible for the design and delivery of integrated and optimized liquid logistics solutions to customers of Stolt. Having also served as VP of Stolt Tank Containers, responsible for Business Transformation, and as Director of Planning and Projects of Stolt Tankers, his career at Stolt-Nielsen has given him a unique in-depth knowledge of the industry. Throughout his career, Barry has led numerous high-impact projects, including spearheading business transformation, digitalization, and process improvement initiatives. His expertise in supply chain management and the use of optimized decision support tools has been instrumental in helping Stolt Tank Containers achieve an industry leading position in BCG's Digital Acceleration Index. He is known for his strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, which have earned him recognition among peers and industry leaders. In addition to his 22 years at Stolt, Barry was Managing Director for Suttons International, where he served as a member of the Executive Board of Directors. He has also worked as an independent consultant and advisor to the tank container industry, delivering customer-facing supply chain optimization strategies and providing scalable and flexible future-proof solutions. Outside of work, Barry is passionate about sustainability, technology, and rugby. He holds a degree in Management Science and Information Systems from Trinity College, Dublin, and a Global Executive OneMBA from Erasmus University, Rotterdam. Barry is committed to continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends to ensure that Stolt-Nielsen remains at the forefront of innovation in liquid logistics. To that end, he completed the executive education program Business Analytics: Decision-Making Using Data, with the University of Cambridge.
