Nestor de Mattos is Corporate Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer of Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) for Dow. He oversees the global end-to-end supply chain including planning & scheduling, customer service, site logistics, logistics, international trade, sustainability, systems solutions, and innovation to advance Dow’s strategic growth.
In his role, Nestor is responsible for driving an integrated end-to-end customer fulfillment experience. This includes working across >150 Countries to >35,000 delivery locations and coordinating with over 1,800 logistics service providers. Integrated Supply Chain supports Dow’s market-driven, industry-leading portfolio of advanced materials, industrial intermediates, and plastics businesses. Together they deliver a broad range of differentiated technology-based products and solutions for customers in high-growth markets that include packaging, infrastructure, and consumer care.
Prior to his role in ISC, Nestor was the North America commercial vice president for Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics (P&SP) and was a member of the global business leadership team responsible for the overall profit and loss of P&SP’s North America region. His responsibilities included developing and driving the business strategy and delivering value-creating initiatives to help better serve customers and the industry at large.
During Nestor’s 20-year career with Dow, he has held numerous leadership positions including senior global business director for Polyethylene & Comonomers, P&SP and North America product director for Solution.
De Mattos joined Dow in 2000 as a customer service representative for the Polyethylene Business in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He moved on to become a TS&D engineer serving the Blow and Injection Moulding market for the PO&E business in Brazil, followed by a TS&D Black Belt leading several internal and external projects for the Plastics Portfolio in Latin America, and then North America development leader for Stretch, Shrink and Agricultural films in Freeport, TX. In 2007, Nestor relocated back to Latin America where he served as product marketing manager for Dow Elastomers, and later absorbed additional responsibility as product & sales manager for Specialty Packaging & Films. He maintained a role as sales director for Plastics in Brazil and in 2011 lived in Mexico City to be the Sales Director for Plastics in the North region of Latin America. In 2012, he relocated to North America to serve as sales director for Pipe & Irrigation, Heavy Duty Shipping Sacks and Industrial Specialty Films and then served as North America group marketing director in Houston, TX.
Nestor earned a Chemical Engineering degree from Sao Paulo University in Brazil and holds an MBA from Northwood University
